Following the formation of Liebherr-Rental in January this year, the company has chosen to fit its entire fleet of some 75 machines with safety equipment supplied and installed by Spillard Safety Systems of Wolverhampton.

            Liebherr-Rental’s general manager Paul Clark said: “On-site safety is very high on our list of priorities and so we were keen to locate a reliable partner able to supply both the equipment and the level of expertise required to ensure the right combination of seat belts, seat belt lights, strobe lights, convex mirrors and rear-view camera and radar systems are correctly fitted to every machine.”

            Mr. Clark first came across Spillard Safety Systems whilst working for another machinery supplier when the company came to his rescue at a Hillhead exhibition by fitting some equipment to satisfy the requirements of the show’s safety team. Mr. Clark was so impressed with the instant help he received that he looked no further when it came to choosing a supplier for Liebherr-Rental.

            All the machines in the fleet are highly specified to meet the demands of a wide variety of applications such as waste and scrap handling, demolition and forestry as well as general earthmoving and civil engineering work and, besides the Spillard equipment ensuring that Liebherr-Rental meets all current health and safety regulations, it has the added bonus of providing a high level of operator comfort and confidence.
