Committed to light goods vehicle safety

Light Goods Vehicles, or LGVs, are the lifeblood of our busy infrastructure in and around our cities, towns and highways. With a huge shift to operating in a 24 hour environment, which is now commonplace thanks to a surge in online shopping and 24/7 manufacturing, these vehicles are everywhere day and night.

With Spillard technology applied to these vans, 7.5 tonne multidrop lorries and long base transits, drivers and fleet managers are in complete control. Control of the whereabouts of such vehicles is achieved through 4G technology and WiFi connectivity.

Other benefits include being able to monitor speeds, video incidents and even the way stock and material is loaded and unloaded at the store and in the depot via dedicated loading cameras. This technology mainly captures, records and monitors, enabling drivers and fleet managers to reduce the number of claims brought against them when such incidents occur, whether it is against a pedestrian or another vehicle.

Camera footage goes a long way to prove your innocence in a claim, and with Spillard Live, everything is recorded in HD and captured for future viewing.

Example of vehicle types:

  • VW Caddy
  • Mercedes Sprinter van
  • Ford Transit LWB
  • Ford Luton tail box lift truck
  • LWB & SWB Fridge Freezer Van
  • 3.5 Tonne Tipper Transit
  • 7.5 Tonne truck with tail lift
  • 7.5 Tonne Curtain Side Truck
  • 7.5 Tonne Dropside Truck
  • 7.5 Tonne Sleeper tail lift truck

The clear risks associated with moving vehicles cannot be understated. With new risks presenting themselves as we move forward, it is up to us to help reduce the number of accidents, both fatal and non-fatal. Our priority is keeping people safe and making sure these numbers fall.
